Your first basement booking, start to finish

By the ParkEase team, , 4 min read

Booking a slot in someone’s basement for the first time feels different from pulling into a mall car park. Here is exactly what happens, from the map to the moment you drive out.

Before you go

  • Set your vehicle first. Car and two-wheeler slots are listed separately, so switch the map before you search.
  • Look at the photos. They show the entrance and the bay, and they are how you will recognise the place when you arrive.
  • Check the walk. Every space shows how far it is from the pin you dropped, not from the building next door.

Booking

Choose your hours and you will see the total before you pay. It is the owner’s price plus 18% GST on the ParkEase fee, and nothing else: 2 hours at ₹40 comes to ₹82.16. You can pay by UPI, card or netbanking, and the slot is held for you as soon as the payment clears.

If an area is busy, a busy-hour charge can be added on top of the owner’s price. It is shown on the map and in the breakdown before you book, and the price you book at is the price you pay.

At the gate

Open your booking and show the QR code. The owner scans it with their app and you are checked in. That scan is what starts the booking, so do not leave without it.

If plans change

  • Cancel before your start time: everything back except ₹10.
  • Cancel in the first 30 minutes: 50% back.
  • The owner cancels: everything back, plus ₹50 from ParkEase.

The refund policy has the full detail.

When you leave

Drive out before your time is up. Afterwards you will have seven days to rate the space. Only drivers who finished a booking can leave a review, so yours helps the next person decide.
